Physicist, photographer and artist – stay curious!
Geboren wurde ich 1975 mit einer Kamera in den Händen, meine ersten Fotos stammen aus dem Geburtskanal. Ok, das ist etwas übertrieben.
2015 habe ich mit Konzertfotografie angefangen. Ich liebe Musik und kann so zwei meiner Lieblingsbeschäftigungen miteinander kombinieren. Aktuell bin ich in der Online-Redaktion von Mindbreed tätig, fotografiere für curt München auf ausgewählten Konzerten und durfte auch etwas zum Sonic Seducer beitragen.
Musikalisch gefällt mir Folk-Metal am besten, gefolgt von Punk mit Folk- oder Ska-Elementen. In ruhigeren, gediegeren Momenten darf es gerne auch atmosphärisch-symphonische Klänge geben.
Seit 2017 bin ich auch noch der Reisefotografie verfallen und mache mit meiner Kamera die Welt ganz gezielt unsicher. Ich bin generell mit Canon im Vollformat unterwegs, eine Systemkamera von Sony musste es aber zwischenzeitlich auch sein. Des Gewichts wegens. Also von der Kamera.
Meine Devise ist relativ simpel: Neugierig bleiben, Neues ausprobieren und einfach mal machen. Es gibt immer etwas Neues zu lernen.
About me
I was born with a camera in my hands and the first photos I took were from inside the birth canal. Ok, that’s a lie. But as many other photographers the interest in this art started early in life using small analog cameras.
I do concert photography since 2015. This type of photography combines two of my favorite things: music and photography. I work at the online-editorial department of Mindbreed, photographing and writing concert and festival reports. At selected concerts I take pics for curt München and I have also made a contribution to Sonic Seducer.
Folk metal is my favorite type of music, followed by punk combined with folk or ska elements. In quiet moments, atmospheric-symphonic sounds are acceptable.
Travel photography as a compassion started in 2017. Generally, I work with full frame cameras from Canon but for the sake of weight I also possess a system camera from Sony.
My motto is relatively simple: stay curious, try something new and just do it. There is always something new to learn.
